School Uniform and Accessories
Our school colours are red, white and grey. Most items are easily available from local department stores. School sweatshirts, polo shirts, cardigans, fleeces, reversible waterproof/fleeces, reflective safety vests and legionnaire-type sun hats may be purchased from Uniformity in Handbridge (opposite the petrol station).
Please ensure that all clothing is marked clearly with your child’s name.
Winter Uniform
White/red polo shirt or white shirt/blouse
Red sweatshirt, sweater or cardigan
Grey trousers, skirt or pinafore dress
Red/grey tights or white/grey socks
Black/brown/navy sensible flat-heeled shoes (not trainers or boots)
Summer Uniform
As for winter uniform with the addition of:
Grey shorts or red & white gingham/striped dresses
Junior children are advised to have a grey/black/navy tracksuit for outdoor games on colder days
School PE bags can be purchased from Uniformity
Swimming Kit
Towel
Swimming cap
One-piece swimming costume or trunks
For safety reasons jewellery is not permitted in school. You are asked to note that neither the school nor the Local Authority accepts any responsibility for loss or damage to personal property whilst on or left at Overleigh St Mary’s Church of England Primary School. It is therefore advisable that your child does not bring other valuables into school. Children in Years 3 – 6 are allowed to wear watches with traditional watch faces. This will help them to learn to tell the time. We would recommend that only cheap watches are worn to school.
